Golden Globe-winning and Academy Award-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson is Fanatics Betting and Gaming’s latest Hollywood recruit.

In a new nationwide commercial titled “The House Always Rewards” that will run across TV, online, social and digital, out-of-home and influencer activations, Henson stars as “Fran”, an accountant at Fanatics Casino who’s getting sick and tired of how much the operator offers its customers.

As the title and the content suggest, the campaign aims to subvert the gambling cliché that the house always wins by focusing on Fanatics’ range of promotions and giveaways, including daily free spins and FanCash offers. Henson’s Fran tries in vain to put an end to the rewards system. Naturally, she fails to do so.

Fanatics Betting and Gaming Chief Marketing Officer Selena Kalvaria said in a release that Henson brings “a sharp wit and grounded relatability” and is “the perfect foil” for Fanatics Casino’s rewards-focused product.

Henson herself explained to People why the character of Fran resonated with her. “I thought she was hilarious,” the 55-year-old said. “I was like, ‘Yeah, I want to do this!’ Plus, I’m a gamer, so it just made sense to me.”

Fanatics noted that the new ad spot is the first chapter in what will be an ongoing creative partnership. Henson will return as Fran across future Fanatics Casino campaigns.

Henson joins other big-name celebrities to have featured in Fanatics campaigns for the operator’s sportsbook or casino products, including Kendall Jenner, Megan Thee Stallion, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Livvy Dunne.

Fanatics posts strong casino gains

While the Fanatics name has historically been synonymous with sports apparel and its initial gaming focus was on sports betting, it has been building out its casino offering over the last year.

In May 2025, it launched a standalone Fanatics Casino app in Michigan, New JerseyPennsylvania and West Virginia and it has increasingly tied together the sports betting and iGaming products, including sharing the FanCash rewards program and the new Fanatics ONE loyalty program.

A report from Eilers and Krejcik Gaming in late February noted that Fanatics Casino has continued “a rapid rise” up EKG’s rankings, which the firm credited to consistent product improvements, a strong user experience and the integration of FanCash promotions.

Fanatics Casino has grown its content portfolio to encompass more than 2,500 games from 40 game providers and 100 studios including Evolution, Light & Wonder, IGT PlayDigital, Aristocrat, Games Global, Everi, Wazdan and many more. It also offers a range of Fanatics-branded table games from its in-house development studio, and boasts an exclusive licensing agreement with WWE to offer online casino games under the WWE, WrestleMania and SmackDown brands.
