Not content with having just Livvy Dunne show off its sportsbook offering, Fanatics has recruited Patrick Schwarzenegger to help spread the word about its casino platform in a similarly themed ad campaign.
“The Staircase” and “The White Lotus” actor is the face of Fanatics Casino’s new “Explained by Patrick Schwarzenegger” campaign. Developed in partnership with Anomaly and OBB Media, the spot consists of Schwarzenegger breaking down FanCash Spins, the operator’s daily free-to-play game that Fanatics says offers players over $100,000 worth of rewards each day.
Like Dunne, Schwarzenegger explains things
The campaign will run across video, out-of-home, streaming and terrestrial audio, podcasts and performance channels and is designed to both resonate with online casino players and introduce those unfamiliar with Fanatics’ casino platform to what’s on offer.
“You could spin anywhere,” Schwarzenegger says to the camera while slowly spinning himself on an inflatable recliner in a pool. “But only Fanatics Casino has FanCash Spins, a game that lets you spin for free every day.”
“I’ve done some weird stuff on set before, but spinning in circles for hours is near the top of the list,” Schwarzenegger said in a Fanatics press release. “Luckily, that’s the spirit behind FanCash Spins on Fanatics Casino. Fanatics looks to build on casino inroads
While Fanatics Sportsbook’s growth since launching in the U.S. market makes up most of the headlines around the operator, the company has built out its online casino vertical as it attempts to compete with longer-standing rivals in the market on both fronts. Fanatics launched the standalone Fanatics Casino app in May in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
In a statement sent to SBC Americas, the company said that Fanatics Casino is currently the top-rated online casino app for iOS. It projects that on Oct. 1, the FanCash Spins game will surpass 25 million lifetime spins.
Under the new Fanatics ONE loyalty program unveiled in August, Fanatics users can redeem FanCash for everything from sports wagering bonus bets and online casino credits to sports apparel, collectibles, game tickets and in-person event access. Fanatics said it could expand the program in the future through measures such as new rewards or loyalty-based partnerships with teams and leagues.
