CFTC selects a new executive director
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) continued its hiring spree this week, appointing Marc H. Sielski as the agency’s new Executive Director.
Sielski joins the CFTC with a background in financial services and consulting, previously serving as a senior manager at consulting company Highspring. He also had stints as a vice president at both British banking giant HSBC and Tokyo-based Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group. In his new role, Sielski will lead the CFTC’s administrative operations.
“Marc brings decades of experience in financial services and management consulting, with a strong track record of improving organizational effectiveness, operational excellence, and enterprise transformation,” said CFTC Chairman Michael Selig. “As the agency continues to modernize and respond to rapidly evolving markets, he will help ensure our workforce and internal operations are positioned to support mission execution efficiently and effectively.”
Sielski is replacing John Einstman as executive director, who assumed the role as acting executive director in October 2025. Einstman will transition to a new role at the CFTC.
High Roller appoints new chief legal officer
High Roller Technologies is bolstering its business with the hiring of Andrew Walter as the company’s new Chief Legal and Compliance Officer. Walter will lead High Roller’s legal endeavors after leaving his role as director of sports betting at the Connecticut Lottery Corporation, where he was the first employee hired to lead its sports betting division.
Before joining the lottery body, Walter served as a senior director of compliance and regulatory affairs at PointsBet before Fanatics acquired the operator’s U.S. assets.
“I’m honored to join High Roller at such an exciting time in the company’s growth,” said Walter. “High Roller has established itself as a premium online gaming operator with a strong commitment to innovation and player experience. I look forward to strengthening our legal and compliance framework as we continue to grow in regulated markets and uphold the highest standards of integrity and responsible gaming.”

“I’m incredibly proud of what we built together in such a relatively short time—broadening the PrizePicks brand appeal to new audiences, scaling our creator and influencer ecosystem, launching and expanding major league partnerships (including MLB and soon the NBA), and strengthening an already talented marketing and communications organization,” said Quigley in a LinkedIn post.
