FanDuel says that nearly half of its customers used its new My Spend personalized responsible gaming dashboard during the NFL season to review their gambling activity.
Approximately 3.5 million FanDuel users utilized some of the dashboard’s features, which include detailed insights on deposit and betting activity and encourages customers to employ tools such as deposit and wager limits.
The Flutter-owned operator said at the time of announcing My Spend in December that the service was developed based on internal and external research that showed players were interested in gaining personalized insights into their activity and a deeper understanding of their own behavior.
On Friday, the brand said that the activity proves that personalizing RG tools helps customers engage with safeguards and manage their time and spending on the platform.
FanDuel also launched a My Spend advertising campaign during the NFL playoffs across broadcast television, digital and paid social. Consumer testing revealed three out of four customers who saw the ad agreed that tools like My Spend are helpful for all players to track and manage their play.
FanDuel debuts Deposit Alerts
The operator of the U.S. market-leading sportsbook has also introduced a new feature. Its new Deposit Alerts allow customers to create daily, weekly and/or monthly target budgets and receive a notification when they reach the specified amount.
“We want our customers to know what they are spending and to ensure they are within their comfort zone,” said Jill Watkins, FanDuel’s senior commercial director of responsible gaming.
“Since the launch of My Spend, we’ve seen a meaningful rise in engagement with tools that give our customers the ability to create a personalized plan to manage their play. We’re encouraged by the progress and remain steadfast in our commitment to making responsible play a natural part of the FanDuel experience for all customers.”
The company says new initiatives coming later this year will leverage technology to enable early intervention when at-risk behavior is identified.
