BetMGM and Inspired Entertainment are teaming up to deliver online casino content in Michigan.

Inspired and BetMGM announced the debut of MGM Bonus City in the Wolverine State building on a previous launch of the title last year. MGM Bonus City, available exclusively at BetMGM Casino, is a hybrid dealer game that combines elements of popular gameshows.

Inspired used virtual CGI and green screen technology to develop MGM Bonus City. The title, which resembles gaming at MGM properties, also features footage of real dealers. It also includes themes of MGM’s Bellagio, Luxor, MGM Grand, and New York-New York.

“MGM Bonus City is an immersive experience for players and Inspired did a fantastic job combining virtual and live elements,’ said BetMGM VP of Gaming Product & Content Oliver Bartlett. “MGM Bonus City is a superb addition to BetMGM Casino, and we’re excited to continue the rollout across states we are live as regulations allow.”

MGM Bonus City has already showcased its viability as an iGaming title due to its launch in New Jersey in October 2023. Since then, MGM Bonus City has emerged as one of BetMGM Casino’s most popular titles. BetMGM Casino has over 2,800 games available to players in licensed North American markets. It also hosts one of the largest jackpot networks.

BetMGM invests in iGaming

BetMGM’s collaboration with Inspired in Michigan builds on previous efforts by the operator to scale its iGaming business.

Earlier this year, White Hat Studios launched Win Spins, a promotional tool that had an initial exclusive launch with BetMGM. The tool is available when playing select games offered by White Hat and provides more opportunities to win through a guaranteed number of spins. BetMGM is using the tool to increase customer acquisition and retention.

In H1 2024, BetMGM reported a combined iGaming and online sports betting market share of 13% in the U.S. In Ontario, it holds roughly 22% of all iGaming gross gaming revenue.
