Simplebet is reporting considerable growth behind the first half of the MLB season.

The micro-betting technology company has posted a more than $630 million total betting handle during the first half of the MLB season, a 100% increase year-over-year. Simplebet has reported record results after accepting nearly 13 million wagers from its portfolio of operator partners. Its number of bets grew 130% compared to the first half of last season.

Simplebet’s partners include bet365, DraftKings, Caesars, ESPN Bet, and Hard Rock.

“The growth we’ve seen in the first half of the MLB season is a testament to the unparalleled engagement and stickiness our micro-betting products offer,” said CEO Chris Bevilacqua. “There is no question that when fans engage during the game with an interactive, live in-play betting experience, the overall consumption of the sport increases.”

Simplebet has benefited from the delivery of unique micro-betting markets during the first half of the season. Its offerings include plate appearance markets that allow bettors to wager on individual at-bats. The market emerged as Simplebet’s most popular micro-betting option during the first half of the MLB season. During that span, New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani, and Yankees outfielder Juan Soto garnered the highest volume of wagers for individual plate appearance markets across Simplebet’s operator partners.

It also reported the Dodgers, Yankees, and Baltimore Orioles as the three most popular teams for total in-play wagers during the first half of the season.

Simplebet diversifies portfolio

Earlier this month, the New York-based company secured a deal to deliver Indoor Football League (IFL) markets to select operator partners. Simplebet is launching the markets ahead of the IFL’s championship game on Aug. 17 in Henderson, Nevada.

The company offers IFL in-play markets for DraftKings, ESPN Bet, and Betr.
