This week’s SBC Digital Latinoamérica 2021 conference and exhibition is set to provide an in-depth analysis of the evolving regulatory picture in the LatAm region and a wealth of information about the emerging opportunities in multiple markets.
The online event on 2-3 March 2021 will feature content in Spanish, Portuguese and English, as an audience of regional and global operators, regulators, media, and suppliers gather to exchange ideas, connect and talk business.
There is plenty for them to discuss, as a number of nations and provinces in Latin America have the potential to develop into significant markets, should they be able to follow the example of Colombia and successfully establish workable regulatory regimes for online gambling.
Regulation is one of two conference tracks on the opening day of the event, when a collection of the region’s premier gaming lawyers will share insights about what operators can expect when legislation is finally introduced in markets such as Brazil and Peru. Delegates can also look forward to an IMGL Masterclass about the regulation of online gaming in federal countries.
Tuesday’s second conference track is Leadership & Innovation, which presents an opportunity to learn from the experiences of some of the leading figures in Latin America’s betting and gaming industry. The speakers include JD Duarte (CEO, Betcris), Juan José Mantese (Managing Partner LatAm, Meridianbet), Lenin Castillo (Online COO, Logrand Entertainment), Andre Gelfi (Managing Director Brazil, Betsson Group), Esmeralda Britton (President, Junta de Protección Social) and Richard Schwartz (President, Rush Street Interactive).
Day Two features a track that focuses on the future of the sports betting industry in the region’s varied markets and the sector’s relationship with professional sports. As well as local issues, the agenda for the Sports & Sports Betting content includes a session that examines how successful Latin American operators can expand into Europe.
Wednesday’s other track is dedicated to the future of the industry in Brazil, which many commentators believe could develop into one of the world’s largest betting and gaming markets. In between sessions, delegates can join the audience and ask the presenters questions during a live edition of the Big Betting Balagan podcast.
Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC, said: “We staged a hugely successful first dedicated conference and expo for Latin American markets in 2020, and are excited to be returning with an even stronger event this year.
“The content will provide an in-depth examination of how to make the most of the many emerging opportunities as more markets move towards regulation. Anyone who is already operating in the region or looking to launch there will hear valuable insights, practical advice and great ideas from our expert speakers.”
Away from the virtual conference rooms, attendees can visit the interactive product display area to see the latest innovations for Latin American markets and to connect with leading suppliers such as 7Mojos, AstroPay, BetConstruct, Ezugi and Finnplay. There will be further opportunities to make new contacts and talk business via the event platform’s networking bar and lounge, and its one-to-one chat and email functions.
