High 5 Games is gaining access to a new online casino market through Caesars Entertainment.
The casino games and content provider announced on Monday an expanded partnership with Caesars Digital to launch its catalog of iGaming titles in West Virginia. Its presence in the state marks the fifth North American iGaming market it has entered with Caesars.
The two companies also deliver content in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ontario.
“We’ve seen positive outcomes from our partnership with Caesars Digital, a prominent operator in the U.S. market, so we look forward to expanding into West Virginia,” said High 5 CEO Anthony Singer. “With our enhanced focus on Power Bet and continuously evolving portfolio, we’re committed to providing unique experiences to the players in West Virginia.”
High 5 has a catalog of more than 500 games providing players in West Virginia with access to popular titles including 88 Drums, Da Vinci DeluxeWays, and Green Machine Deluxe. Its deal with Caesars also includes access to the operator’s promotion system.
High 5 Games faces scrutiny
The content provider is entering West Virginia amid legal woes in another U.S. market.
Last month, Western Washington District Court Judge Tiffany Cartwright ruled that High 5 Casino and High 5 Vegas provided players with access to online gambling, which is illegal in the state. Its law classifies online gambling as events that require users to stake value on the outcome of a game of chance or an event with a prize on offer for a certain outcome.
High 5 argued that its virtual coin system did not constitute gambling but a “social casino.”
Despite the argument, Cartwright found that High 5 violated the Washington Consumer Protection Act and the Recovery of Money Lost at Gambling Act.
