Sportradar is bolstering its partnership with the governing body of soccer in Europe.
The Switzerland-based sports data aggregator has announced a multiyear partnership extension with UEFA to provide the governing body with exclusive betting data rights.
The extended partnership between the two entities has also been expanded to include the non-exclusive right to deliver data to non-betting media as well as advanced tracking.
“Three years ago, we embarked on a journey with Sportradar to tap into the value of match data for betting purposes. Sportradar brings to the table a wealth of experience in this field and we are delighted to be continuing this successful partnership for the next three years,” said UEFA Marketing Director Guy-Laurent Epstein. “As part of the agreement, we will also be continuing our long-standing cooperation to protect the integrity of UEFA and our member associations’ competitions.”
Sportradar’s partnership with UEFA provides the data giant with access to more than 900 top-flight soccer matches, a roughly 33% uptick compared to last year’s competition cycle.
The deal covers all UEFA club and national team competitions, including UEFA Men’s and Women’s Champions League, European Qualifiers, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
UEFA adds to investment in soccer
In 2024, Sportradar has continued to grow its portfolio of soccer-related partners.
It announced in February a six-year partnership extension with Bundesliga International, a subsidiary of Germany’s pro soccer business DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga.
As part of the deal, Sportradar has rights to sublicense video content from the DFL, collect and distribute live match data, and combat match-fixing through its monitoring systems.
Sportradar has also solidified a presence in North America’s pro soccer systems.
In March, the United Soccer League (USL) agreed to a six-year deal with Sportradar to make the sports data aggregator the league’s official betting and technology partner. Sportradar is responsible for collecting, licensing, and distributing all USL data.
The pact includes more than 600 matches across the USL’s three playing tiers.
