International Game Technology’s (IGT) subsidiary IGT Global Solutions Corporation has extended its contract with the Mississippi Lottery Corporation for an additional three years.

IGT will now provide online gaming systems and instant ticket services through Dec. 1, 2029. As part of the latest agreement, IGT plans to launch a mobile convenience app, install new GameTouch 28 self-service terminals and introduce its Sales Wizard retail automation tool.

The Mississippi Lottery has worked with IGT since it launched in 2019 and its Corporation President Jeff Hewitt said that the state lottery is excited to introduce IGT’s new products.

“Since the Mississippi Lottery’s inception, IGT has applied our deeply rooted proficiency of industry best practices to help the Lottery continuously exceed its sales objectives, year after year,” added IGT Chief Operating Officer, Global Lottery Jay Gendron. “The new solutions that IGT is delivering in Mississippi will provide ultimate convenience for both the Lottery and its players, while also supporting the needs of the evolving lottery landscape.”

IGT says that the Mississippi Lottery’s new mobile app will include a range of features such as the ability to check winning numbers and tickets, create digital payslips, find retailers and access game information.

It added that its Sales Wizard tool will offer the Lottery’s sales team insights on sales, instant ticket inventory, instant ticket facings, and point-of-sale equipment and signage.

IGT to support sports betting in Michigan

Earlier this month, IGT announced that its PlaySports Advisory Services Team will be supporting the Lac Vieux Desert Northern Waters Casino & Resort in Watersemeet, Michigan. It has used IGT’s platform to power its sportsbook since 2021.

According to IGT President of Sports Betting Joe Asher, the trading advisory team helps operators “maximize the returns of their sports betting offerings while enhancing player loyalty and engagement.

Northern Waters also plans to integrate IGT’s PeakBarTop cabinets with Total Gaming software into its sportsbooks. This technology allows players to play poker, slots, and keno as well as place bets on sports from a single device and a single gaming wallet.
