Scientific Games has extended its agreement to provide instant scratch-off games to the New York Lottery.
The lottery supplier began working with the Empire State’s Lottery in 1976 and yesterday announced that it had signed a new primary provider contract.
According to Scientific Games, it contributed to the New York Lottery’s scratch-off games to a $4.4 billion product in the 2022-23 fiscal year and it also has helped contribute billions in funding for education in the state.
“The New York Lottery is proud to continue its partnership with Scientific Games,” said New York Lottery Director Gweneth Dean. “For decades, our collaboration has resulted in billions of dollars for New York’s public schools, and we look forward to creating exciting new games for our players and supporting our dedicated retailers across the state.”
As well as instant scratch-off products, Scientific Games will provide the New York Lottery with consumer and product research and data analytics, game development, and portfolio planning.
The U.S.-based company created and produced the New York Lottery’s first-ever scratch-off game, and now provides products to a network of approximately 14,000 lottery retailers.
“We’re honored to continue as the primary scratch-off game provider to one of the world’s most successful lotteries and support their important mission to fund education for New York students,” said John Schulz, President of Americas & Global Instant Products for Scientific Games President of Americas & Global Instant Products John Schulz. “Our long-standing, strategic partnership has continued to bring entertaining scratch entertainment experiences to players in the state, and we look forward to many more decades of success together.”
Scientific Games boosts iLottery stable
Scientific Games launched its iLottery content hub in October 2023 and has spent the beginning of 2024 adding to its stable of partners.
In February it signed up Bwloto and Random State before adding Multiplay Gaming in March. Last month the Bulgaria-based studio 7777 gaming became Scientific Games’ ninth iLottery studio partner.
The content hub enables partners to work with licensed brands within the Scientific Games portfolio and manage a game library from a single spot. The hub includes brands such as Game of Thrones and Monopoly.
