Micro-betting specialists Simplebet took over 2.45 million bets across its partners during the college basketball season

The operator revealed the figures, which is an increase of nearly one million compared to last season, as it also announced the launch of its new game tracker ahead of March Madness.

Available on Betr and DraftKings, fans will be able to use the game tracker to follow every shot in every game of the tournament in sync with Simplebet’s in-play markets.

The feature will offer a “best-in-class” in-play betting experience with animated plays, visualizations and stats to help inform fans’ bets.

“The game tracker we have created truly is a best-in-class product and will prove to be a necessity for any operator to integrate. Bettors will have a true single-screen experience as the tournament goes on, having the ability to see the action of every game in real-time and place bets reflective of that,” said Simplebet CEO Chris Bevilacqua. “We are continuing to innovate new ways for bettors and fans to interact with sports, and we believe the launch of our new game tracker will drive incremental engagement.”

Throughout the 2023-24 NCAA basketball season Simplebet facilitated the ability for players to bet on the result of each possession during a game.

This will continue throughout March Madness where Simplebet says that questions like “Will UConn’s next possession result in a 3-pointer” or “Will Arizona turn the ball over on its next possession” will be actionable outcomes for fans via Simplebet’s partners.

As well as providing in-play markets for March Madness, this month also saw Simplebet unveil its array of markets for the NHL postseason which it will offer through Caesars Sportsbook.

The operator has already had success this year during landmark sporting events as it reported record handles for the Super Bowl and College Football National Championship game.
