Micro-betting technology company Simplebet reported record results behind the College Football National Championship Game.

Simplebet, which powers micro-betting markets for sports betting operators, posted a more than $5 million handle on Monday night across several operators during Michigan’s 34-13 win over Washington to capture the CFP National Championship. The operators included Simplebet partners bet365, DraftKings and Hard Rock Bet — which relaunched in Florida last month after a two-year hiatus. The results on Jan. 8 were also a $1 million increase compared to last year.

“We’re proud to have played a part in delivering an exciting, interactive experience to fans,” said Simplebet CEO Chris Bevilacqua. “We look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of sports betting and offering even more thrilling experiences to our users.”

Simplebet’s record handle comes after substantial growth in 2023 for the tech provider. The New York-based company reported a $180 million handle for the entire 2023-24 college football season — up 115% compared to the season prior. Simplebet also reported favorable growth for the total number of bets placed in 2023 with results increasing 100% compared to the season prior.

In 2023, Simplebet also diversified its portfolio of clients. The company secured a partnership with ClutchBet last June to provide its technology for the operator’s operations in Colorado and Iowa. In 2022, ClutchBet — a subsidiary of Australian bookmaker BlueBet — debuted in the U.S.

Simplebet also landed a multi-state partnership with Hard Rock Digital to power micro-betting markets for Hard Rock Bet. Simplebet became the first company to provide micro-betting markets for LIV Golf through an initial exclusive launch with Hard Rock Bet.
