The new state rollouts continue for Fanatics with its third state launch in the span of the week. The latest launch is the biggest market yet for Fanatics Sportsbook, as it is now live in New York.

As has been the case in other states, existing New York PointsBet customers can download the Fanatics Sportsbook app and access their customer account and balances, as they have all been migrated over to the new operator.

Just two days ago, the operator switched over from PointsBet to Fanatics in Indiana. Last week, the operator also rebranded its Michigan online casino and sportsbook to Fanatics.

According to a Fanatics spokesperson, this will be the last rebrand until the operator launches in North Carolina on March 11.

There are four states left to fully rebrand to Fanatics. Those are Louisiana, Wyoming, New Jersey and Kansas. The operator is now live in 15 states.

New Yorkers will soon have another new option for sports betting in the state besides just Fanatics. Penn Entertainment announced earlier this month that it was purchasing Wynn’s license in the state in order to bring ESPN Bet into the Empire State.

New York remains the largest market for sportsbook operators but also one with the most onerous tax burden. With a little over half of revenue going back to the state in taxes, it has been difficult for operators to leverage much of a profit in the state.
