Fanatics Sportsbook and Casino has continued its transition of the PointsBet platforms as it launches in Michigan.

From Feb. 22, current PointsBet customers in the Wolverine State will be able to access the Fanatics Sportsbook app using their existing login credentials. Customers account balance, rewards points and responsible gambling settings will also transition to Fanatics.

This latest announcement is the next step in the migration of PointsBet customers following the operator’s acquisition  of PointsBet’s U.S. businesses.

The deal, worth $225 million, was approved by PointsBet shareholders in June 2023 and included PointsBet’s workforce and market access in the US. At the time of the acquisition, a Fanatics spokesperson described the deal as a “pivotal moment” that would accelerate the growth of Fanatics in the legal online sports betting and igaming markets in the US.

This announcement also sees Fanatics launch their online casino product in a third state. Embedded within the Fanatics Sportsbook app, it will offer a range of features including roulette, slots and blackjack.

According to the release, players will have access to live casino games powered by Evolution and a selection of online slots produced by Light and Wonder.

Fanatics Sportsbook is available across 13 states. In some places this is solely under the guise of the Fanatics sports book while in others the product is branded as PointsBet, a Fanatics Experience. This means that in these states customers still use the PointsBet app but it is reskinned in Fanatics branding.
