EPIC Global Solutions is bolstering its Pro Sport Advisory Board.

Gambling harm consultancy EPIC has added NCAA Managing Director of Enterprise Risk Management Clint Hangebrauck and Tom Jones from the Professional Cricketers’ Association to its Pro Sport Advisory Board. Jones, who is the Senior Personal Development Manager at the PCA, will work with Hangebrauck and eight other board members on how to reduce the risk of problem gambling amongst athletes, coaches, and staff.

“In a new era of a proliferation of sports betting in the U.S., it’s important to learn from other countries with decades of experience and to break down walls between sporting organizations and other industry experts to work on safeguarding sport collaboratively. The PSAB does exactly that, and I look forward to serving on the board,” said Hangebrauck.

The PSAB, which was established in 2021, is the world’s first board on gambling-related harm in professional sports and esports. Its members are employed by sports teams, gambling companies, and governing bodies.

EPIC continues to build a global brand

The addition of Hangebrauck and Jones follows a busy end to the previous fiscal year for EPIC.

In December 2023, the company underwent a significant rebrand. The rebrand, which came as EPIC celebrated 10 years of operations, included a new logo and corporate identity.

As part of the new identity, the company changed its name from EPIC Risk Management to EPIC Global Solutions — a reflection of its ability to serve clients in territories across the world.

That same month, EPIC teamed up with Entain Foundation U.S. to form a partnership with MLB. As part of the pact, Entain and EPIC will work together to educate minor league players on the risks of harmful gambling. That partnership begins in March during minor league spring training.
