PointsBet is officially sunsetting in Colorado as the switch over to Fanatics Sportsbook continues. At its peak, PointsBet established an office in Denver, but now the brand is now saying goodbye to the state.

Colorado customers will be prompted to download the Fanatics Sportsbook app, where their PointsBet, A Fanatics Experience credentials will work to log into their new account.

As part of the switch, PointsBet partnerships with major sports leagues in the state will now transfer over to Fanatics.

PointsBet signed a multi-year partnership with Kroenke Sports & Entertainment to establish the operator as a sportsbook partner for both the Denver Nuggets and the Colorado Avalanche. The signage at Ball Arena, where both teams play, will switch over to Fanatics Sportsbook in the near future.

Prior to the acquistion, PointsBet had inked a deal with the University of Colorado, the first of its kind between a sportsbook and a college athletic program. In the wake of pressure from politicians and responsible gambling advocacy groups, the two entities called off the deal earlier this year.

This is the third state to switch from PointsBet, A Fanatics Experience to the full Amelco-powered Fanatics product. The previous states to switch are West Virginia and Virginia. The list of states that now offer Fanatics is as follows:

  • Colorado
  • Kentucky
  • Maryland
  • Massachusetts
  • Ohio
  • Tennessee
  • Virginia
  • West Virginia

That leaves Iowa, Kansas, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania as states where PointsBet remains live and there is no Fanatics option. In Maryland, both Fanatics and PointsBet remain live for now.
