Sportradar has signed an agreement with Canadian broadcaster Sportsnet to enhance its visibility amongst sports fans in Canada

The partnership will see Sportradar provide the broadcaster with its real-time stats, player information and data sets to supplement its NHL and MLB content. Sportradar will provide the tools via its OnAir service.

Furthermore, in a bid to “elevate Sportsnet’s real-time story-telling capabilities”, the NYSE sports technology company will offer the broadcaster access to its statistical experts and radar360 web-based research platform.

“We are proud to partner with Sportsnet, a market leader, who is committed to entertaining and informing Canadian sports fans,” said Brian Josephs, Head of Regional Sales for North America, at Sportradar.

“This collaboration showcases Sportradar’s expertise in enhancing sports content through data and technology. Together, we will bring fans closer to the action, providing them a unique, more engaging viewing experience.”

Moreover, Sportsnet will have access to enhanced digital graphics and statistics to provide in-depth research and coverage for the hugely popular NHL and MLB leagues.

Sportsnet’s entire brand portfolio including their regional channels, East, Ontario, West and Pacific will benefit from the Sportradar deal. This will also include the broadcaster’s digital platforms such as Sportsnet ONE, Sportsnet 360, Sportsnet World, Sportsnet+, the Sportsnet Radio Network, Sportsnet.ca, the Sportsnet app and podcasts.
