British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) has furthered its expanding Canadian ambitions after it signed an agreement with the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority and SaskGaming to provide online gambling in the province.

Strengthening the PlayNow.com brand, BCLC will provide players in Saskatchewan with over 400 casino, Live Casino, poker and sports betting games and products, supported by its vendor partners.

The deal means that PlayNow.com – first opened by BCLC in 2004 – is entering its third Canadian province, following its launch in its home province British Columbia and expansion to Manitoba in 2013.

“This partnership reinforces the confidence the legal gambling industry has in BCLC, and our leadership in providing players with entertaining and engaging gambling experiences through our safe and secure online platform, PlayNow.com,” commented Lynda Cavanaugh, Interim President and CEO of the Corporation.

“In addition to an innovative suite of online casino and sports-betting products, BCLC’s  PlayNow.com is the only gambling website in North America and one of few in the world that offers dedicated player-health specialists – known as GameSense Advisors – via live chat. This is just one way that BCLC supports safer play online.”

All net income generated by PlayNow.com and BCLC on a broader level is transferred back to BC to supplement funding for healthcare, education and community initiatives.
Last year, BCLC added single-event sports wagering to PlayNow.com following the passing of the Safe and Regulated Sports Betting Act came into force.
