BetMGM has gained access to the retail sports betting market in New Mexico via a partnership with the Isleta Resort & Casino in Albuquerque.

The deal sees BetMGM open a retail sportsbook inside the casino, boasting 4,900 of dedicated sports betting space with 35 television screens and two VIP sections.

Furthermore, the sportsbook has five betting windows and four betting kiosks as the Isleta casino aims to attract a new player base to its premises.

Karl Waitner, Chief Executive Officer of Isleta Resort & Casino, said: “Isleta Resort & Casino’s goal is to constantly improve the consumer experience. Our new partnership with BetMGM makes unforgettable moments in sports even more personal, powerful, and fun.”

This deal marks BetMGM’s debut in the retail sportsbook arena in New Mexico as it seeks to expand its presence across regulated US states. The firm is now live in 28 US states plus Ontario and is aiming to gain a 20-25% market share in the US sportsbook market.

Adam Greenblatt, Chief Executive Officer of BetMGM, added: “It’s a privilege to enter New Mexico and collaborate with Isleta Resort & Casino. We’re confident sports fans will enjoy the world-class gameday experience that only BetMGM provides.”

Entain, one of BetMGM’s joint parent companies, reports its Q3 results today and will offer a snapshot of the US division’s performance as CEO Jette Nygaard-Anderson addresses investors.
