There are arguably no two hotter buzzwords in sports betting than “same game parlays” and “microbetting”. The newest product innovation from Simplebet manages to combine both into one intriguing new offering: Same inning parlays.

“We’re incredibly proud to launch Same-Inning-Parlay, which will transform the baseball betting experience as we move into the second half of the season. Bettors will now have the chance to win huge sums off small stakes, heightening excitement levels even further. It’s a really exciting product rollout for us, and we’re confident that our partners will love it,” said Simplebet CEO Chris Bevilacqua of the new innovation.

While bettors cannot build their own same inning parlays just yet, the product does allow bettors to fire on pre-made parlay options such as Aaron Judge to hit a home run, the Yankees to score two or more runs, and the opposing pitcher to throw more than 20 pitches across the same inning.

Come football season, there will be a similar football product, the same drive parlay.

Simplebet reports 225% growth YoY in MLB microbetting handle. The group has accepted more than 15 million bets across its partners through the first half of the baseball season. Simplebet markets are currently live in 27 states and the group works with sportsbooks including DraftKings and Caesars.

June and July are typically the toughest months for sportsbooks when it comes to generating handle. Anecdotally, in-game betting accounts for around 30% of most sportsbooks’ action.

Same game parlays, meanwhile, have had a profound impact on bottom lines, particularly for FanDuel. During its 2022 Capital Markets Day, FanDuel said four out of every five customers have placed a same game parlay on the app. With so many statistical categories to choose from in popular American sports like baseball and basketball, the concept has taken hold quickly among US bettors.
