Playmaker Capital has made three hires across its US and Latin American operations, seeking to add expertise and experience to its senior leadership team.

The purpose of the hires is to add experience but to also improve its Latin American and Hispanic-US-focused brand Futbol Sites, which has become a key focus for the company in the last year.

As part of the changes, Michael Bellom, Agustín Gutiérrez Scussel, and Matias Paget have joined the Playmaker senior leadership team.

Firstly, Bellom has been promoted to the newly created role of Head of Revenue Operations, after spending 12 months at Playmaker following its acquisition of The Sports Drop

In his new role, Bellom will be charged with overseeing the sports digital media company’s web monetization, affiliated, commerce content, and paid media activities. Based in New York, Bellom will manage a team that will maximize all online revenue opportunities, as well as pursue revenue opportunities across its media and affiliate brands.

Gutiérrez Scussel has joined Playmaker as its Chief Technology Officer, bringing over 15 years of software industry experience in engineering and product lead. Based in Buenos Aires, he most recently served as Senior Engineering Manager at Swvl, a global provider of transformative tech-enabled mass transit solutions.

An Argentine University of Enterprise graduate, Gutiérrez Scussel has CTO experience, having served at C-Level with Viapool.

Finally, Paget has taken on the role of Head of Digital Product at Futbol Sites, leading the brand’s web content strategy and charged with overseeing the overall product.

Also based in Buenos Aires, Paget has over 20 years of marketing and product experience, developing digital platforms for much of this time.

Paget spent eight years at Argentine sports TV channel, TyC Sports, where he established the product development and editorial strategy for its various digital properties
