Kiosks only made up a small portion of the handle during the massive opening month of sports betting in Ohio. That is, in large part, because many bars and restaurants have yet to install kiosks on property.

IGT announced today the company is expanding its presence in the Buckeye State. The company will be working with BetSkybox to bring IGT’s PlaySports QuickBet Kiosks to Ohio restaurants and bars. BetSkybox is licensed by the Ohio Casino Control Commission and the Ohio Lottery to offer kiosks for wagering in the state.

BetSkybox is based in Las Vegas but also has set up what it calls its Network Operating Center (NOC) across from Nationwide Arena, home of the Columbus Blue Jackets.

“BetSkybox is thrilled to deliver IGT’s award-winning sports betting technology to our licensed partners and offer the convenience of PlaySports’ self-service betting solutions to the many sports fans throughout Ohio,” said Ron Frederickson, President of Skybox Sports Network / BetSkybox.“IGT’s high-performing betting solutions will add another layer of excitement as patrons gather at these social establishments to watch their favorite sports and teams.”

This is not the first foray into Ohio sports betting kiosks for IGT. The company launched the same PlaySports QuickBet Kiosks through a partnership with UBet Ohio. Ubet deployed kiosks at 31 businesses so far in the state.
