Full House Resorts has opened the door to its newest gaming destination, The Temporary by American Place, in Lake County, Illinois.

Boasting around 1,000 slots and 50 table games, the casino draws inspiration from “a day at the lake” and features greenery and boat paddles.

Located around 30 minutes away from O’Hare International Airport, The Temporary by American Place offers guests a Canoe Bar, with signature cocktails under chandeliers made out of canoes.

Patrons will also be able to dine at L’Américain, a restaurant that offers traditional American cooking, and Asia-Azteca, which offers Asian and Latin food.

Further amenities available include North Shore Steaks & Seafood, which will open in Paril to offer a luxury dining experience. On the casino grounds, two modified airstream trailers will offer craft beer from local breweries.

To celebrate the launch, Full House Resorts hosted a private VIP reception early on Friday evening, before opening its doors to the public at 8pm.

“We thank the Illinois Gaming Board and its staff for their assistance throughout The Temporary’s construction and preparation,” said Daniel R Lee, President and Chief Executive Officer of Full House Resorts.

“I also want to thank our own team of approximately 500 founding employees, who have worked diligently to prepare us for this exciting moment.”
