Las Vegas-based brand Circa Sports has announced it will enter the Illinois sports betting market through a partnership with Full House Resorts’ upcoming American Place, an entertainment and casino destination under construction in Waukegan, Illinois.
While construction takes place, Circa Sports will have a spot in The Temporary by American Place, a temporary casino operated by Full House Resorts. The brand will also launch its Circa Sports mobile sports betting app in the Prairie State.
The Temporary features a wagering area with betting kiosks, physical ticket windows, digital boards with real-time odds, and 36 televisions ranging from 60” to 80”. Bettors can also use the Circa Sports app to register, fund, and wager from anywhere in the state.
“We are thrilled to introduce our industry-leading sports betting and hospitality experience to Illinois,” commented Derek Stevens, Founder and CEO of Circa Sports.
“We have developed incredible relationships with Midwest bettors at our Las Vegas casinos, so to bring our product to the great state of Illinois is a major milestone for us.”
Following its Illinois market launch, Circa Sports now has a presence across four US states, as it is also operational in Nevada, Iowa, and Colorado.
“We promised Illinois a premium gaming and entertainment facility, and that includes a first-class sportsbook experience,” noted Alex Stolyar, Chief Development Officer of Full House Resorts.
“We witnessed how Derek and his team have revolutionized the sports betting and viewing experience at Circa and knew that they would be the right partner for American Place.”
Being developed as a premium gaming and entertainment destination within Waukegan’s Fountain Square district, American Place will include approximately 1,600 slot machines, 100 table games, a state-of-the-art sportsbook, an exclusive 20-villa hotel, a 1,500-seat live entertainment venue, and a variety of bars and restaurants.
Stevens added: “American Place has been an excellent partner for the launch of our temporary sportsbook. This is our first time introducing a physical book to a new state, and we are thrilled to work with Full House to bring it to life.”
