Super Group has announced it has reached an agreement with Games Global for the sale of its non-core B2B arm of its Digital Gaming Corporation business.

The operator recently acquired DGC after a long-term partnership that saw the firm act as a US vehicle for its Betway and Spin brands in the US.

With long-term ambitions set on growing the sportsbook brand in North America, Super Group then acquired DGC, but is now offloading the non-core B2B division to Games Global.

Games Global is an igaming supplier with over 200 clients globally and acquiring DGC’s B2B unit will allow it to grow in regulated igaming states in the US.

DGC’s B2B unit has licenses to operate in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan and Connecticut.

Walter Bugno, CEO of Games Global, commented: “The acquisition of DGC B2B is an extremely exciting opportunity, accelerating Games Global’s entry into the rapidly growing US igaming market.

“Such a positive move will enable us to access some of the best operators in the sector and provide a fantastic platform from which to leverage our portfolio of over 50 partner studios, more than 3,000 proprietary games and a record-breaking progressive jackpot network, including Mega Moolah and Wow Pot, which have paid out over 1.5 billion euros since inception.”

For Super Group, the proposed sale allows it to focus its resources on growing the Betway and Spin brands in North America as it seeks global exposure. Betway already has a significant market presence in Europe and Africa and has embarked on US growth in the last 12 months.

Progress has seen Betway enter the regulated sports betting markets of Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, New Jersey, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Post-DGC acquisition, focus remains on growing the Betway and Spin brands in the competitive US markets.

Neal Menashe, CEO of Super Group, said: “Disposing of DGC’s B2B division makes commercial sense and will allow us to continue to focus solely on our B2C growth in the US.

“We have been using Games Global’s award-winning content for many years and we are very confident the DGC B2B division will be in great hands. We wish them all the best.”
