Sports IQ has strengthened its executive team with the appointments of a pair of senior managers with experience at Genius Sports and Sportradar, as the Vancouver headquartered odds maker prepares to expand its presence in the North American market.

Kristjan Tamlak has joined the company as Trading Director, while Neale Deeley has become its new Commercial Director.

Tamlak will be a familiar figure to many in the sports betting industry, having previously spent three years as Head of Risk Management for Genius Sports. His career in trading has also included spells with Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) and Pragmatic Play.

“I have followed Sports IQ for some time and have been very impressed. I really like the leadership team and the data-first approach driven by incredibly experienced tech and data science teams,” said Tamlak.

“Helping shape the strategy and direction of a company like this, in its growth phase, is the perfect challenge for me.”

Deeley has joined the business after spending the past eight years at Sportradar, most recently as Managing Director of US Betting. He has also worked for William Hill and Inspired Gaming during a 20-year career in the gaming industry.

“What the team have put together at Sports IQ is very impressive and I’m really excited to help bring our technology and services to even more operators,” said Deeley.

Sports IQ, which supplies pre-match and live odds – including products for player props and same game parlays – to operators including Tipico, has ambitious goals for 2023. Its CEO, Omer Dor, believes the technical expertise and experience of working for US-facing suppliers that the two new hires bring will be key to achieving them.

“I am delighted to welcome two such talented individuals as Neale and Kristjan to the team, and excited to see them playing a part in our growth plans in 2023 and beyond,” said Dor.
