Sportradar Solutions, a subsidiary of Sportradar, has received a sports gaming supplier license from the Ohio Casino Control Commission (OCCC) ahead of the Buckeye State’s sports betting market launch next year.

With the new state entry, Sportradar now holds 41 licenses across North America, supplying clients with its services, helping advance transparency and integrity, and providing sports betting and gaming companies with accurate sports data.

The Ohio sports betting market for both retail and online wagering is expected to launch on January 1, 2023.

The OCCC has conditionally approved several sportsbook licenses ahead of the market’s go-live date next year, including licenses for several sports teams.

The Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, FC Cincinnati, Cleveland Guardians, Columbus Blue Jackets, and the Cleveland Cavaliers have all been conditionally approved by the state commission for either an online sportsbook (Type A) and/or a retail sports betting (Type B) license.

The Buckeye State’s sports betting market will be live ahead of the NFL games of the Browns at Washington Commanders on January 1, and the Buffalo Bills at the Bengals on January 2, as well as the 2023 Rose Bowl and the CFB National Championship game.
