Geolocation technology company Xpoint has announced that Xpoint Verify has gone live in the Canadian market for the first time with online casino operator SkillOnNet in Ontario.
Xpoint Verify is the company’s real-money gaming geolocation product developed specifically for sportsbooks, igaming, and gambling operators. The news comes less than one year since Xpoint was formally unveiled.
Marvin Sanderson, CEO and Co-Founder of Xpoint, commented: “For everyone involved with Xpoint, this is a very significant announcement. We founded Xpoint in 2019, then formally launched the business just eight months ago at G2E, and now we have our first product live in-market, with an outstanding partner in SkillOnNet.
“Our investors, partners, and our team have made this possible, and I want to thank them all for their support and their hard work. Thousands of hours of work by our world-class personnel have gone into making this moment possible, and we are honored to be supported by a number of investors and partners who share our vision for transforming the geolocation industry – thank you to them for playing such an important role in helping us reach this milestone.
“It’s worth noting that this is just the start, the first chapter in our story. In a matter of weeks we’ll also be live in the USA, and then the rollout of both Xpoint Verify and Xpoint Lite, our geolocation product designed and built for daily fantasy sports (DFS) operators, will continue at pace. We have a very exciting future ahead, and I’m delighted we’ve already reached such an important chapter in our history with SkillOnNet.”
SkillOnNet went live with its online casino brands PlayOJO, SlotsMagic, and SpinGenie in Ontario earlier this month following the launch of online gaming in the market in April.
Maor Nutkevitch, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at SkillOnNet, added: “We’re proud to work with Xpoint as our official geolocation technology partner. We were attracted to Xpoint’s technology that helps our consumers engage with our platforms safely and securely, and the fact that our working relationship is rooted in a true partnership.”
Back in April, Sanderson spoke to SBC Americas about unlocking the true potential of geolocation technology following the firm’s debut at SBC Summit North America last year.
