LynxBet has named the Brazilian MMA fighter Paulo Costa as its brand ambassador for the Latin American country.
Aiming to further its marketing strategy in the jurisdiction, Costa will help LynxBet to raise awareness of its new offering after launching recently.
Explaining its reasoning for signing up Costa, the firm cited his appeal with millennials as MMA stands as Brazil’s second most popular sport behind soccer.
Samantha Asensi, LynxBet Country Manager for Brazil and LatAm, commented: “We’re delighted to have Paulo Costa on board as our brand ambassador for Brazil. As a popular sports star who is revered throughout the country, he is perfect to represent LynxBet as we continue to attract new players to join the Land of LynxBet.”
LynxBet is the first casino and sportsbook brand that Costa has partnered with and, as a result of the agreement, he will feature on a range of social media material as part of the firm’s digital marketing strategy.
The igaming brand has noted that this announcement ‘demonstrates the brand’s ambitions to build a significant player base within the Brazilian market as well as the wider Latin American landscape’.
“Paulo has already shown a great deal of enthusiasm in collaborating with us and pushing the brand in Brazil to the next level, helping us to create brand awareness through his impressive social media audience reach,” Asensi added.
“Above all else, his popularity and charm is the perfect companion for our own mascot, The Lucky Lynx.”
