Golden Nugget Mississippi is upping its sports betting game with partner DraftKings Sportsbook. The property will go from utilizing the DraftKings platform on betting kiosks to rolling out a branded retail sportsbook early next year.

The retail sportsbook will reside in a former section of the buffet. The area will include multiple video walls, stadium seating, and a VIP area. Bettors will also have access to 17 betting kiosks as well as a betting counter with five windows.

doors to the newest addition to the property with a state-of-the-art retail sportsbook.”
The new sportsbook is set to debut in January.
Currently, only retail sports betting is allowed in Mississippi but that could change soon. The state has formed a task force to look into expanding the industry online.
The group met in October to hear from land-based stakeholders in the state. While most were in support of expanding online, there were a handful of detractors concerned about cannibalization.
