Caesars Entertainment has announced the launch of its Caesars Sportsbook mobile sports betting app in Illinois, made available for download on Google Play and the Apple Store.

The firm already has land-based presence in Illinois, operating the Harrah’s Joliet, Harrah’s Metropolis, and Grand Victoria Casino Elgin casinos.

Utilizing new technologies, the sportsbook app is built using its ‘Liberty’ platform, with Caesars noting that ‘customers will immediately recognize as a substantial upgrade over prior versions of Caesars Sportsbook available in the state’.

Caesars aims to acquire customers through the offering of its Caesars Rewards program which gives bettors Tier Credits and Reward Credits for each bet that they place, which can be used to unlock bonus cash in the app as well as exclusive opportunities at Caesars’ destinations in the state.

Additionally, the firm is offering a sign-up promotion to all new registrants. The offer insures players’ first bet up to a limit of $1,100, where if that first bet isn’t a winner, players receive a free bet equal to the amount of the wager.

“We’re pleased to launch our best mobile sports wagering product and to reach more sports fans in Illinois,” said Chris Holdren, Co-President of Caesars Digital.

“This is an important step for us as we continue to expand our offering of best-in-class rewards for sports fans across the state.”

Caesars recently published Q4 and full-year losses in 2021 despite posting revenue and adjusted EBIDTA growth, with CEO Tom Reeg adding that the year’s performance saw the firm ‘exceed our expectations for new customer registrations’.
