Sports betting and igaming operator BetMGM is set to offer retail and mobile sports betting in Deadwood, South Dakota, after forming a partnership with Liv Hospitality’s Tin Lizzie and Cadillac Jack’s Gaming Resorts.

Approved by voters on November 3, 2020, the Deadwood Sports Betting Legalization Amendment authorizes the South Dakota State Legislature to legalize sports betting within the city.

Adam Greenblatt, BetMGM CEO, commented: “Liv Hospitality’s prime resort locations in Deadwood make it an ideal partner for us. Together, we look forward to bringing the BetMGM sports betting experience to South Dakota sports fans.”

Pending regulatory approval, BetMGM’s mobile app is set to be available within both venues beginning next month, complementing a retail sportsbook that will include kiosks and counter wagering.

Caleb Arceneaux, CEO of Liv Hospitality, added: “BetMGM is an outstanding organization that brings credibility to our new sports betting offerings. Visitors now have another reason to come to Deadwood, while enjoying the many other entertainment opportunities at our resorts.”

Earlier this month, BetMGM confirmed new partnerships with Gila River Hotels & Casinos and the Arizona Cardinals for retail and online sports betting, establishing its first relationships in the state of Arizona.
