U.S. industry stalwarts join high-level speaker roster at SBC Digital Summit

The high-level speaker roster for the SBC Digital Summit has been augmented by the announcement of a collection of U.S. industry stalwarts set to participate in the Betting on Sports America track on Thursday April 30.

Among the big hitters on the line-up for the fourth day of the world’s largest virtual conference and tradeshow for the betting and gaming industry are Jonodev O. Chaudhuri (Partner, Quarles & Brady LLP & Former Chairman, National Indian Gaming Commission), Jan Jones Blackhurst (Board Member, Caesars Entertainment and former Las Vegas Mayor) and Adam Greenblatt (CEO, Roar Digital).

The SBC Digital Summit boasts a comprehensive agenda focused on the challenges and opportunities the global industry faces in light of the disruption caused to business by the COVID-19 pandemic, while the BOSA track will undertake an in-depth examination of the state of play in the U.S. market.

It comprises four sessions:

— Update on state legislative efforts in 2020 (10:00 – 10:45 AM EST)

— M&A and investing in sports betting companies (10:45 – 11:30 AM EST)

— The Tribal gaming landscape (12:00 – 12:45 AM EST)

— Alternatives for sports betting when traditional sports are shut down (12:45 – 1:30pm EST)

A host of other experts are set to join the panels, including Stacie Stern (Government Affairs Director, FanDuel), Tom DiEnno (Managing Director, KPMG Philadelphia), Sheila Morago (Executive Director, OIGA), John Pappas (Founder & CEO, Corridor Consulting), Jamie Shea (Head of Sportsbook – Digital, DraftKings) and Conrad Granito (General Manager, Muckleshoot Casino).

The conference agenda is designed to not only address the current state of affairs during the COVID-19 pandemic, but also focus on what the industry will look like in the future and what the new normal will mean for the gaming sector.

Adam Greenblatt, CEO of Roar Digital, said: “While these are trying times for the global population and there are so many unknowns, the one thing we do know is that there will be an end to this. It’s vital that industry leaders stay connected during this time, share ideas, and have a plan for once this is all over. The SBC Digital Summit is the perfect vehicle to facilitate this exchange and I am excited to participate.”

Sue Schneider, SBC’s VP of Growth and Strategy, said the BOSA track will bring together key industry leaders who offer unique and valuable perspectives to the table. “We started doing outreach for this as soon as we announced that our New Jersey event, Betting on Sports America, was postponed until December. It was important for us to come up with new and unique content and we’re pleased about the speakers we were able to assemble in such a short time.”

The BOSA track is one of seven that make up the conference portion of the SBC Digital Summit, which will also have a virtual trade show and expo floor, virtual networking elements and a host of other features making it the premier virtual conference for the global industry. The other tracks are:

— Leadership in betting

— Leadership in gaming

— LATAM market day

— Lottery day

— Payments day

— Digital marketing day

Other speakers at the SBC Digital Summit, which runs from April 27 to May 1, 2020, include Carsten Koerl (CEO & Founder, Sportradar), Jesper Svensson (CEO, Betsson Group) and Paris Smith (CEO, Pinnacle).
