Online gambling software provider GAN has teamed up with Parx Casino to launch online sports betting in Pennsylvania, which comes a time when the state is continuing to expand its current gambling offerings.

As part of the new partnership, Parx Casino customers will be able to benefit from online casino gaming and a rewards program when they place bets as well as access to a rewards program.

Both the online casino offering and the sportsbook have since gone live after being launched earlier this month.

The duo have expressed hope that the new alliance will help boost their presence across both the gambling and sportsbook sectors in Pennsylvania.

As it stands, Pennsylvania currently has 17 casinos currently operating with a further one casino expected to open its doors later this year.

The partnership follows on from the confirmation that the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board had unanimously voted in favour of renewing the Category 1 Racetrack Casino Operator’s license of Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment Inc, operator of the Parx Casino in Bucks County.

The seven-member board determined that the firm had fulfilled the obligations under its previously-approved casino operator’s license and, therefore, qualified to have its license renewed for an additional five-year period.
