Colombian gaming industry trade body Fecoljuegos is planning to present the findings of an extensive market study on the reputation of the sector at this year’s Gaming Market Colombia event beginning October 24. The report will be revealed at the week long forum which is attended by more than 600 people including operators, suppliers, international guests, union leaders, diplomats and senior officials of the Colombian government.

The study measures perceptions of the gaming industry from key figures from the financial and insurance sectors, along with government officials, opinion leaders and operators. Evert Montero Cárdenas, president of Fecoljuegos, commented: “We have started a great strategy of communications and reputation to contribute to the growth of the industry in Colombia. This long-term strategy that we have started with the private sector and with the support of the national government seeks to communicate all the good things that happen in our industry based on a serious diagnosis about what different key players in the country think.”

During the annual summit space will also be allocated for a business round table during which it is expected that key industry players, along with hundreds of investors interested in Colombia, will engage in networking opportunities and forge new agreements for the sector. “We are convinced that this academic agenda will allow us to clarify the actions to be carried out in 2019 and overcome so many challenges that this industry has in tax, legal and commercial matters,” said Cárdenas.

The forum will include, for the first time, an experiential micro agenda aimed at the final consumer. “We are going to explain to the players how our industry works, how to play online, what their rights are, how to enjoy those located, among other very striking activities,” confirmed the president.
