Kambi has reaffirmed the strong position of its sportsbook platform in Latin America as the firm penned a long-term extension to its partnership with Colombian operator Corredor Empresarial

The operator, which runs the BetPlay brand in Colombia, has used the Kambi platform since 2017 when the Colombian market became regulated, and this marks the second extension of the deal.

As part of the extension, Kambi will continue to power the BetPlay sportsbook in Colombia, as well as support its growth in other Latin American markets.

German Segura, CEO at Corredor Empresarial S.A., said: “This is an exciting time for Corredor Empresarial and this partnership extension marks an important strategic milestone for the company as we expand across Latin America.

“Kambi is a proven leader in the provision of sports betting technology and services and we look forward to working closely with them as we deliver on our ambitious growth plans.”

Kambi has earmarked Latin America as a key growth region for the coming years, especially as it looks towards regulation in Brazil. Having lost key clients in the US such as DraftKings and Penn Entertainment, the supplier is seeking to gain new customers.

It has also renewed its deal with Rushe Street Interactive, as well as gained new clients in Miami Valley Gaming, Potawatomi Casino & Hotels and Del Lago Resort and Casino.

Kristian Nylén, Kambi Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, said: “We are pleased to agree a long-term extension to our successful partnership with Corredor Empresarial, providing its customers with next-generation betting entertainment.

“The Latin American market continues to hold great promise for Kambi and we look forward to aiding Corredor Empresarial as it expands across the region with Kambi’s cutting-edge complete sportsbook.”
