Oddin.gg has continued to expand its footprint in the North American market after being given the green light to enter Maryland’s regulated sports betting space.

Already live in Arizona, Colorado, New Jersey, Ohio and West Virginia, as well as plus Ontario, Canada, Oddin.gg will roll out its range of esports betting solutions to licensed operators across the Old Line State.

The solutions provider has already secured partnerships with Allwyn, Aristocrat, Betby, Betway, OpenBet, theScore Bet and more, and this new market entry could facilitate new operator collaborations.

“Maryland represents an important addition to our North American regulatory footprint,” said Oddin.gg Co-Founder and Managing Director Marek Suchar.

“The state’s strong sports betting performance and growing esports community create an ideal environment for operators to deliver market-leading esports betting experiences. This license strengthens our ability to support partners in Maryland as esports continues to gain traction among bettors.”

esports’ rising US popularity

Esports has continued to grow in popularity across the North American market, with the market accounting for more than 40% of global esports betting revenue in 2024. Data has also shown that an estimated 23% of U.S. sports bettors wager on the vertical, making it one of the ‘fastest growing’ markets among players.

Maryland is one particular state that has embraced the growth of esports in recent years, hosting the University of Maryland’s Terps Esports Program which competes alongside 17 other US universities in the Big Esports Conference.

More generally, Maryland’s sports betting market has continued to show strong signs of growth throughout 2025, with last year’s handle surpassing the $6.6 billion mark.

New records were smashed in November 2025 as the state recorded $720.1 million in handle and $95.4 million in revenue during that month alone.

Oddin.gg has doubled down on the growth potential of the U.S. market, most recently strengthening its leadership board with the appointment of former Entain leader Martin Lycka as its new VP of institutional affairs.
