One of Florida’s NBA teams is partnering with the state’s exclusive online sportsbook.
The Orlando Magic secured a partnership on Tuesday with Hard Rock Bet, making the Florida-based operator an official sportsbook of the NBA franchise. The partnership provides Hard Rock Bet with rights to feature digital signage at the Kia Center, the Magic’s home arena since its opening in 2010, and logos on the facility’s home and away baskets. The Kia Center will also feature a Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook-branded space.
The deal is the Magic’s first foray into a sports betting partnership as an NBA franchise.
Hard Rock Bet and the Magic will also collaborate to deliver exclusive promotions and fan activations during games throughout the upcoming NBA season, which tips off on Oct. 21.
“This partnership is about delivering one-of-a-kind experiences that put Magic fans at the center of the action, both at Kia Center and wherever they’re engaging with their favorite team,” said Hard Rock Bet Managing Director of Corporate Strategy Nick Menas. “We’re thrilled to be tapping into the incredible buzz around this year’s team, and fans have already shown their enthusiasm by making the Magic one of the most-bet teams. . .”
The partnership marks Hard Rock Bet’s second deal with a Florida-based NBA team.
Earlier this year, Hard Rock Bet and the Miami Heat agreed to a partnership that includes co-branded marketing and fan activations at the Kaseya Center, the Heat’s home arena.
Partnerships in Florida for Hard Rock Bet
Hard Rock Bet recently secured a deal with another Florida professional sports team.
The operator became an official partner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in August through a multiyear deal. As part of the pact, Hard Rock Bet offers exclusive in-person promotions at Raymond James Stadium, the Buccaneers’ home field since 1998. In addition to fan activations, Hard Rock Bet also has a marketing presence at the stadium through signage.
The Buccaneers and Hard Rock Bet are also planning to host VIP experiences off-site.
Hard Rock Bet’s other sports-related partnerships in Florida include the Florida Panthers, Daytona International Speedway, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Miami Dolphins.
Hard Rock Bet inks media content deal
Last month, Hard Rock Bet landed a deal with Colin Cowherd’s content arm, The Volume. The pact made Hard Rock Bet an exclusive sportsbook partner of The Volume and a presenting sponsor of the media company’s portfolio of podcasts and YouTube shows.
DraftKings was The Volume’s previous sports betting partner, securing a deal in 2023.
