MGM Resorts International has reshuffled its C-suite deck, naming Ayesha Molino as chief operating officer and promoting Gary Fritz to chief commercial officer and president of MGM Digital.

Molino will replace Corey Sanders, who is retiring at the end of the year after three decades with the company, a tenure that included a spell as CFO before he was COO.

“It’s impossible to overstate what Corey has meant to this company over the last 30-plus years,” said MGM Resorts President and CEO Bill Hornbuckle. He has been a constant presence, providing foundational leadership for all the key moments that have defined our history. More importantly, Corey helped us put all the different pieces together to create one company and one culture.”

Molino will take over from Sanders on Jan. 1, 2026. The new COO is currently president and COO of MGM’s ARIA Resort & Casino and Vdara Hotel & Spa on the Las Vegas Strip, as well as managing MGM’s government relations, corporate communications and public relations.

She previously served as chief counsel to former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and is a board member at the American Gaming Association, Nevada Resort Association, American Hotel & Lodging Association and MGM China.

“Ayesha is an exceptionally gifted strategic thinker and operator who excels at managing through complexity, earning her the respect of her colleagues and peers throughout the company,” Hornbuckle added, noted that Molino led ARIA to all-time records in revenue and EBITDA. “Ayesha’s ability to unite teams, drive results, and navigate challenges makes her the perfect leader to succeed Corey as COO. I am confident she will continue to help shape our future growth and success.”

Interactive leader Fritz given broader oversight

Fritz had been serving as president of MGM Resorts International Interactive since October 2022, a role in which he was accountable for leading all strategic digital gaming initiatives globally to capitalize on the intersection of the digital and land-based gaming.

Serving as a strategic advisor to Hornbuckle, Fritz played a key role in advancing the company’s digital strategy, including BetMGM’s expansion into Brazil and the acquisition of Tipico’s U.S. sportsbook operations, which were rolled into MGM subsidiary LeoVegas

Effective Sept. 18, he has now transitioned to the roles of CCO and president of MGM Digital, which offers an online casino and sports betting network including LeoVegas, Push Gaming and other brands. Fritz said earlier this year that while BetMGM and MGM Digital are “two very distinctly operated businesses,” they are mutually beneficial to one another.

His new role consolidates leadership of MGM’s digital, gaming, marketing and advertising businesses under his leadership. He is also a member of the BetMGM and LeoVegas board of directors.

“Gary has been instrumental in establishing and advancing our digital strategy through acquisitions, strategic partnerships and organic expansion of our BetMGM brand into new international markets like Brazil,” said Hornbuckle. “He is a visionary leader with keen insights and instincts, and his new role will bring together all of Digital plus Gaming, Marketing and Advertising as we look to accelerate our omni-channel strategy and unlock significant growth in digital and iGaming.”
