MGM Resorts names Gary Fritz as President of digital gaming division

MGM Resorts International has appointed Gary Fritz as the new President of MGM Resorts Interactive, the operator’s digital gaming division.

Fritz will be tasked with overseeing and advancing MGM Resorts’ diversification strategy through acquisitions and digital platform expansion, including growth and innovation on its sports betting and igaming platform, BetMGM.

Alongside his new role, Fritz will become an MGM Resorts’ Executive Committee member, a BetMGM Board of Directors member, and LeoVegas’ Chairman of the Board. He recently led MGM Resorts’ acquisition of LeoVegas as well.

Fritz previously served as Head of Gaming for the digital media company IAC. He has also led global strategy and expansion plans for multinational companies, including IAC, TripAdvisor, and Expedia.

Earlier this month, BetMGM launched a new commercial campaign spot featuring hockey legend Wayne Gretzky and Edmonton Oilers captain, Connor McDavid, ahead of the start of the new NHL season.
