Bet365 has continued its push into U.S. women’s sports by partnering with the WNBA’s Indiana Fever.
The British sportsbook is now the official sportsbook partner of Caitlin Clark’s team, the second such deal it has forged with a WNBA team in the last few weeks. Last month, the operator signed with the Chicago Sky.
Bet365 has been expanding notably in the U.S. in recent times and has brokered a string of deals with pro sports teams, including one with MLB franchise the St. Louis Cardinals which gives it market access in Missouri.
The Sky deal was Bet365’s first with an American pro women’s sports team, but it has now struck two WNBA deals in the space of a month. In the Fever, they have now secured an association with arguably the most high-profile player in the league in Clark, who won the WNBA Rookie of the Year award after breaking the league’s rookie scoring record last year.
“Exciting, record-breaking, and hungry for more, the Indiana Fever certainly embodies the Never Ordinary spirit, and we are incredibly enthusiastic about the partnership,” said a bet365 spokesperson. “With the new season underway, it’s the perfect time for us to share our unrivaled bet365 experience with Fever fans.”
“We’re excited to team up with bet365 and bring fans a premium mobile sports betting experience,” added Fever COO and General Manager Amber Cox. “This partnership is all about creating more ways for fans to connect with our team from tipoff to the final buzzer.”
The deal will give bet365 a strong presence across Fever Radio Network broadcasts, as well as the Fever’s official app and social media platforms. Fan activations and betting features will also be included in team media and game-day experiences, and Bet365 will roll out an expanded suite of pre-game and live betting options for Fever games.
Bet365 buys Denver HQ amid US push
As Bet365 continues to focus on making further inroads into the U.S. market, it has also finalized the purchase of the headquarters it set up in Denver, Colo. last year. The deal is reportedly worth $135 million.
The operator moved into the building last September and the office is expected to create nearly 1,000 jobs for people in the region by the time it is fully staffed.
Bet365 has established a large presence in Colorado and is partnered with MLB’s Colorado Rockies, the NBA’s Denver Nuggets and the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche. The operator’s deal with the Rockies runs through the 2026 season.
The company is now live in 13 states after launching in both Illinois and Tennessee in March of this year. It went live in Indiana, Arizona and Pennsylvania in 2024. Its expected entry into Missouri when that state opens for business in December will be its 14th state launch.
Last month, Bet365 joined the Sports Betting Alliance (SBA), the coalition of major operators which frequently campaigns on behalf of its members and the wider online sports wagering industry in state legislatures and in public messaging and calls-to-action. In joining FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM and Fanatics, Bet365 became the SBA’s first new member since 2021.
