DraftKings is offering its peer-to-peer poker game in a new online casino market.
The sports betting and iGaming operator announced on Tuesday the launch of its Electric Poker offering in New Jersey. Electric Poker provides users with P2P gaming within the DraftKings Casino app. The offering is not a full-fledged online poker client compared to gaming options provided by WSOP.com and PokerStars. WSOP.com houses its offerings on a client separate from Caesars while PokerStars is a separate client from FanDuel.
“Since launching Electric Poker in August, the reception from DraftKings Casino players has been very positive, leading to the expansion of the exclusive product to New Jersey,” said DraftKings VP of iGaming Marketing and Operations Jason March. “We’re excited to be able to offer this exceptional title to more customers, delivering them a one-of-a-kind, innovative game and a first-class online poker experience.”
Electric Poker offers three-handed Sit & Go poker tournaments with variable prize pools allowing players to win from two to 10,000 times their buy-in. DraftKings’ online poker product, which features two-minute blind levels, has buy-ins that range from $1-$25.
DraftKings debuted Electric Poker in Michigan
The Wolverine State emerged as the first market for DraftKings’ Electric Poker.
Last August, DraftKings launched Electric Poker in Michigan as the state allows player pooling along with Nevada and New Jersey. Two months later, Pennsylvania became the latest state to provide its eligible players with access to the P2P online poker product.
