Sports betting-focused TV network SportsGrid and golf star Paige Spiranac have agreed to a multi-year partnership that will have Spiranac serving as the face of the network’s casino-themed programming.
The former Points Bet employee will team up with producer Scott Lasky on developing programming for the group.
“I’m thrilled to join SportsGrid and dive into the world of sports gaming with a network that’s truly pushing boundaries in sports and casino entertainment,” said Spiranac. “Creating unique, interactive content for fans who share my passion for gaming is something I’m incredibly excited about. Together with SportsGrid, I look forward to bringing a fresh perspective and delivering the fun, engaging experiences that fans expect and deserve.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Paige Spiranac to the SportsGrid family,” added Co-Founder and CEO of SportsGrid Jeremy Stein. “Her dynamic personality, love for gaming, and connection with sports fans perfectly align with our mission to deliver unique and captivating content. Paige’s presence in our casino programming is a game-changer, and we look forward to seeing her elevate our viewers’ experience as we pioneer this new category.”
Spiranac first gained notoriety as a collegiate golfer, then turned pro on the Cactus Tour. While she never made it into the LPGA, Spiranac built up a massive social media following, with many suggesting she is the sport’s top influencer.
Spiranac signed a deal with PointsBet in 2021 that included a brand ambassador and on-air role as well as “significant” equity in the company. When PointsBet sold to Fanatics in 2022, Spiranac did not move over to the new brand.
SportsGrid is currently known for its sports betting programming but is increasingly expanding its casino-related content. Last month, the group announced a deal with slots streamer Brian Christopher. During that announcement, Stein said the brand is trying to reposition itself as the ‘Gambling Channel’ as opposed to purely about sports betting.
