ALT Sports Data (ASD) is expanding its national footprint through a new partnership.
The California-based sports trading and customer data provider has announced a partnership with Abelson Info to provide its official pre-match and live odds betting markets for a slew of popular sports. The pact will see Abelson’s network of operators access ASD markets for sports including the World Surf League, Street League Skateboarding, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships, and NHRA Drag Racing.
“Our collaboration with Abelson significantly increases our reach within the sportsbook ecosystem, bringing our unique data to more operators with minimal friction,” said ASD CEO Joe Dunnigan. “This partnership enhances how fans interact with the sports they love through real-time data and proprietary betting markets.”
ASD will further bolster the reach of its data service through an affiliate and media platform that will allow the company and Abelson partners to reach over 74 million social followers.
ASD’s partnership with Abelson builds on recent efforts by the trading and data provider to reach new betters. According to research by ASD, there are roughly 81 million fans in the U.S. within the alternative sports category. About 42% of those fans do not cross over to be fans of major sports leagues providing access to 19 million potential new bettors.
In addition to alternative sports leagues, ASD has a portfolio of partners that includes some of the largest gaming companies in the world. As of October 2024, ASD has partnerships with bet365, BetMGM, Caesars, DraftKings, FanDuel, Prime Sports and Underdog.
In February, ASD landed a deal with Malta-based online gambling brand Betway. The deal came after ASD closed a $2.5 million seed funding round co-led by family investment fund Eberg Capital and venture capital firm Relay Ventures. The seed round also included participation from Texas-based investment company Trinity West Ventures.
