PrizePicks is bolstering its offerings with a new free-to-play contest.
The Georgia-based daily fantasy sports operator has announced the launch of Streak, a F2P contest that allows fans to compete for an opportunity to pocket up to $1 million. Streak, which debuted in 13 markets, allows users to pick one player projection per day to build a series of consecutive winning picks for a chance to win the contest’s top prize.
“Our goal at PrizePicks is to lead the online gaming industry by offering innovative new game types that exceed the expectations of our members and give them new ways to play,” said PrizePicks CEO Mike Ybarra. “Streak adds to our growing list of contests and allows us to reach even more sports fans across the country.”
Users can pick from 10 player cards for their daily free pick and are also rewarded with free four-pick lineups to use on pick’em contests based on winning selections. Users of Streak that want the opportunity to win $1 million must make 32 consecutive correct projections.
PrizePicks diversifies offerings
The launch of Streak builds on the debut of PrizePicks Arena earlier this year.
PrizePicks Arena, a peer-to-peer product, had an initial launch in Alabama, Wyoming, West Virginia and Tennessee. The product groups users based on the number of contest entries, buy-in amount, and experience with PrizePicks. Users of PrizePicks Arena compete for a guaranteed prize pool based on winning predictions that culminate in a high score.
The product went live in New Hampshire on Aug. 1 after PrizePicks was granted a fantasy sports operating license in the state. New Hampshire is the 35th market for PrizePicks.
