Xpoint has added a new member to its leadership team.

The geolocation security solutions provider announced on Monday the appointment of Ron Braunfeld as its new Chief Revenue Officer to bolster efforts in the geolocation industry.

In his role, Braunfeld will lead Xpoint in driving revenue while fostering client relationships. The UNH grad is also responsible for pinpointing new business opportunities for Xpoint.

“We are delighted to welcome Ron to our executive team as Chief Revenue Officer,” said Xpoint CEO Manu Gambhir. “His extensive experience and impressive achievements in business development and sales within the technology and venture capital industries will be invaluable as we expand our offering and strengthen our market position.”

Braunfeld has been enlisted as Xpoint’s new CRO after most recently serving as the VP of Business Development at Mobi Systems, an AI-focused software tech company. He brings a wealth of experience in the location technology business after carving an integral role at MapQuest as Director of Business Development. Braunfeld is also a partner and spent five years as VP of Business Development at WHERE, a location-based advertising network.

WHERE was acquired by PayPal in 2011 in a deal valued at approximately $137 million.

Xpoint enhances geolocation tech

Braunfeld’s appointment as CRO comes as Xpoint launches new geolocation products.

The Florida-based company unveiled Trust Mode in April as a new proprietary product that enhances geolocation capabilities for online operators. The product reduces geolocation checks by more than 20% while allowing operators to adhere to regulatory standards.

Trust Mode also cuts costs as iGaming operators often pay per geolocation check. Xpoint is licensed in 20 markets and has a portfolio of clients that includes PlayStar and SkillOnNet.
