Rotowire has long been a resource for season-long fantasy players as well as those who play traditional roster-based daily fantasy sports games. Now, a new tool hopes to bring the same assistance to players of props-driven DFS.

Picks & Props is new app with DFS+ focus

On Tuesday, Rotowire announced the launch of its new “Picks & Props” app. The app synthesizes sports betting lines and fantasy site over-unders along with Rotowire projections, the app produces its own projections for markets to help assist users.

Scoring for a given market ranges from -100 to +100 and also includes real-time updates for injuries.

“The Fantasy Pick’em and legal Player Props betting market has had explosive growth and we’ve seen strong user demand for RotoWire’s leading player news and information for these products,” said Peter Schoenke, co-founder of RotoWire and former chairman of the Fantasy Sports & Gaming Association. “We’re excited to launch the Picks & Props app that gives players access to the top recommendations for all the leading Fantasy platforms and major sportsbooks based on RotoWire’s projections, lineups and player news.”

Gambling.com hit hard by Google update

Rotowire claims that the Picks & Props feature on the site boosted traffic, growing 266% over the past nine months. The demand resulted in the group developing and launching a standalone app.

The launch is a bright spot for Rotowire’s parent company, Gambling.com, that is currently feeling the hit of a Google update that drastically impacted partnerships between gaming affiliates and major and local newspaper sites. In April, Gambling.com spoke with Sportico about the company’s partnerships with publishing firms like Gannett and McClatchy.

Since that interview, virtually all of the affiliate content on those sites has been deindexed by Google.
