BetMGM is sponsoring a Nightly Progressive Jackpot to celebrate Wheel of Fortune’s 8,000th episode.
Contestants will be able to win the jackpot alongside their prize for solving the show’s Bonus Puzzle. This will be the first time the show has had a progressive jackpot sponsored by a betting operator.
Wheel of Fortune, which first aired in 1975, is celebrating its 8,000th show milestone with a “big money week” scheduled to air May 20-24.
“BetMGM is honored to join Wheel of Fortune during this milestone week and be a part of a game show that has earned a place in American television history,” said BetMGM’s CEO Adam Greenblatt. “‘Big Money Week’ is a great collaboration, giving contestants and viewers at home the opportunity to experience the excitement of a progressive jackpot.”
During the episode, there will be a BetMGM-branded Double Jackpot wedge on the show’s wheel giving contestants who earn the opportunity chance to add double the Nightly Progressive Jackpot to their total if they win the Bonus Round.
Other BetMGM integrations within the episode will include in-show displays of BetMGM’s logo on host Pat Sajak’s monitor, co-branded graphics displayed in the center monitor, and a BetMGM jackpot ticket appearing above the puzzle board during the episode.
BetMGM launch Wheel of Fortune-themed casino
In March 2023 BetMGM launched Wheel of Fortune Casino, in collaboration with IGT, which it says is the first brand-led online casino in North America. The casino launched in New Jersey.
“We are thrilled to bring Wheel of Fortune Online Casino to players in New Jersey where they can now play for real money and experience the excitement of the beloved game show on their phones,” said Greenblatt at the time of launch.
Last month BetMGM also launched Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin, a Wheel of Fortune-themed slot that features a “unique reel set” that offers 720 ways to win. The slot is currently available in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ontario via BetMGM Casino, Borgata Online and Wheel of Fortune Casino.
