Swedish slots studio Thunderkick has entered the U.S. iGaming market for the first time through a partnership with High 5 Casino.

Thunderkick’s portfolio of games will be integrated into High 5 Casino’s free-to-play social casino gaming platform. A release notes the collaboration marks not only Thunderkick’s U.S. debut but its first foray into sweepstakes.

Slots titles including the likes of Pink Elephants and Sword of Khan will be available to High 5 Casino players across more than 40 states. A release stated the deal is facilitated by Thunderkick’s relationship with Relax Gaming.

Independent casino game studio Thunderkick creates games via its own remote gaming server and provides them to brands including bet365, LeoVegas, 888 Casino, and more. It noted it expects to partner with more brands in the North American market in the coming months.

Thunderkick CCO Svante Sahlström called the company’s move into the sweepstakes and partnership with High 5 “a significant milestone” for the company.

“We are excited to introduce our games to US players for the first time and to explore the potential of this market segment,” he added. “This collaboration allows us to showcase our innovative content to a wider audience and deliver an engaging gaming experience that closely resembles real money gambling.

“We are confident that our partnership with High 5 Casino will be a successful one, and we look forward to working with them to bring our games to players across the United States.”

High 5 Games has a presence across land-based, online and social gaming in more than 150 countries.

In North America, its partners include DraftKings, BetMGM, and many more market leaders and competitors.

“Thunderkick’s games have proven to be very popular in Europe and we are excited about helping them launch, not only in the US for the first time, but with social players too,” added VP of Creative at High 5 Games Jerry Wilson. “We’re sure our players will take to these titles, and they will become fan favourites in no time at all. We’re delighted about the launch of our new partnership.”

High 5 looking to deepen footprint further

In a recent interview with SBC Americas, High 5 founder & CEO Anthony Singer said the company is primed to build on a strong 2023 with further growth in 2024.

“We had a great 2023, but 2024 holds even greater excitement for us as our persistent efforts from the past year come to fruition,” said Singer. “We started February by entering the West Virginia market with DraftKings. We’ll soon be live with Rush Street and are busy onboarding new partners in the state.

“We remain committed to expanding our presence in North America and delivering great content to our key partners, so we’re exploring more states and keeping an eye on new markets opening up.”
